Walnut and Maple Chess BoardOur Traditional wooden chess boards in Walnut and Maple are available in 2.25" squares with an overall size of 21.5 x 21.5 inches. The light squares are fabricated from Birda€ s-eye Maple (BEM), the dark squares in a beautifully marbled Walnut. These veneered chess boards are 0.5" thick and have a satin-like finish, giving a smooth touch to the boards and protecting chess players from light reflection.
